How do you Disney?

I have been thinking lately about how everyone does Disney in their own way.  We have our way, and wouldn't change it.  My Aunt and Uncle used to surprise their daughters by just driving them over to Disneyland without telling them!  They all have fun memories of that.

I prefer the anticipation. I like to plan, and then change the plans.  Even so, once we're there, we might switch things up if we see a cool opportunity.  It's interesting to see how others have their little traditions that they keep everytime they come.  Do you have a Disneyland tradition?  May be time to start one!

She's back!

Yes, and with a photo with Daisy.  This character has proved elusive throughout the years.

I have decided to return to my Disney blog simply because that is my hobby.  Either going to Disney or talking about going to Disney.  Either one, WDW or DLR.  Right now we are focused on other things economically-speaking, so for a while, it will be all talk.

Big Changes coming to a Disney Park near you!

I hate change.  And I say that I am going to hate all the changes at Disney, but usually I end up loving them.   The exceptions to that are these.  I miss the Country Bear Vacation Hoedown.  I miss America sings, although I love the Buzz Lightyear that is in its space.

I didn't think that I would love DCA, but I do.  And I love most of the changes there.  Cars Land is amazing!

Here are the changes that I am not going to like. (Disney please listen)
1. Changing the Aladdin show for a Frozen show.  Big Dislike.
2. Getting rid of the Osborne Family Christmas light show.

I am iffy on the Soarin' changes.   I might like a new one, but I would miss the old one. Especially so since the composer of the original score is long deceased.  Could they get a better score?  I doubt it.

Well, only time will tell whether this fan is going to like the changes.   We'll see.

Third "Trip of a Lifetime!"

We are just a few months away from our occasional "Trip of a Lifetime" to Walt Disney World.   Since we live in the West, we usually go to Disneyland, which is great.  I love Disneyland.   And now with Disney California Adventure, I love it even more.  However, a trip to WDW is always great as often as we can afford it.

Visiting WDW can be a challenge when you live out west.  Mostly because of the distance, and the time required to travel there.  Is it worth it?  To a Disney fan like me, totally.  Honestly, though, if you like Disney (not love, like)  than by all means, travel to California and enjoy the Happiest Place on Earth. I didn't really discover WDW until I was an adult, and I have been a Disneyland aficionado all my life.

Even though I love Disneyland, I felt like I was missing out by not going to WDW.  So I planned a trip.  I was an awesome 2-week adventure.  Yes, we spent a lot of money.  Yes, it was worth it. Yes, I would do it again.  In fact, I did.

Here is a bit of our original "Trip of a Lifetime"

Now, we are more time-constrained.  We have a week to do WDW, plus the four-day drive.  Yes, four days.  Yes, it will be crazy. Yes, I am working on strategies to ease the pain.

I love planning a WDW vacation!

A trip down Memory Lane.

A dear friend is going to Disney World with her family.  These are for you, Robin!
This was from the Cinderella dinner at the Grand Floridian.
These are from our 2007 trip.  The 2010 trip was great, but I haven't downloaded the pictures to photobucket.
